This is the year for getting back to things. (I've probably said that before.) The first thing on the agenda is Brandywine Investigations.
Some of you may remember that this started over at Amber Quill Press, with Hades and his initial story as part of a prompt bundle. The first story, Canines, Crosshairs and Corpses, was part of a "gods/demigods" bundle with various authors. The second was actually from a picture prompt from a Goodreads group - and No Enemy But Time took a darker turn. The third was from a "dragons" prompt - Dragons, Diamonds and Discord - Hermes story. They were initially separate stories.
The fourth story for Dionysus - Books, Bulls and Bacchanals - came out briefly and a couple months later, the publisher closed.
The first three stories were collected at Mischief Corner Books in the omnibus Brandywine Investigations: Open For Business, but poor Dionysus was sitting by himself with no story buddies to make a second omnibus.
I'd originally started out with Hades and his extended family in mind, but by the second book it became clear that sticking solely to Greek gods was silly. It's a big world out there. The stories revolve around Hades' family, yes, but by this fifth book, there were gods from all sorts of pantheons involved.
Tons of gods involved in this fifth story, Pack Up The Moon, which is what the second omnibus has been waiting for. Anyway... soon...
Brandywine Investigations: Family Matters releases February 28.
