This third Brimstone Journals collection took a while to get here, right? The publisher has encouraged me to have an exclusive longer story for each Journals collection and I didn't have one for Three until this past holiday season. Anyway, my slow writing process notwithstanding, The Brimstone Journals, Collection Three is now up for pre-order at Amazon. Yay! Release date is February 11, 2020. The Brimstone Journals Collection Three Amazon Cargo hauler, brigand ship, privateer. Crewed by the exiled, the misplaced, the uniquely strange and even a certain government assassin. Together, they've faced interstellar criminals, the wrath of archangels, the threat of frogs, their own terrors, nearly deadly buttercopters, and government paperwork. Through it all, as Brimstone's inhabitants expanded from two demons on the run to a complement of eleven various and sundry beings, they've become more than crew. They've evolved into family. Join us now for some snippets from the characters' timelines, flash fiction shorts between the stories from Shax and Verin as kids in Hell all the way to events after The Hunt for Red Fluffy. The Brimstone Journals, Collection Three also includes a novelette in which the crew discovers that sometimes the simple task of holiday shopping is much more dangerous than it should be. Also, a small housekeeping note:
The Endangered Fae series may vanish for a bit on Amazon. No worries - the publisher is just moving to a new distributor so they have wider options for how books are offered to readers.

My big new news this week is an official release date for The Mage On The Hill - May 7, 2019 from Dreamspinner. This is the first installment of the new paranormal series The Web of Arcana, which now has its own web page on the site here. (Yay! ) Series blurb and book blurb are over there for now since they're not 100% official yet. Magic users, danger from within and from hidebound guild leaders, and occasional cookies. Cover will be coming soon! Also, don't forget that the final chapter of Endangered Fae releases next Tuesday! January 15 brings on the final chapter in Diego Sandoval's long, strange journey that started on the Brooklyn Bridge in Finn.
No Fae Is An Island Endangered Fae 4 releasing January 15, 2019 Pride Publishing Amazon Barnes and Noble Kobo iBooks Which is now this year, of course, and time for me to tell you what's on the buffet for the coming months. The calendar list on the home page now shows 2019 - and you may notice there's not a lot on it yet. What the heck, Angel?
This is partly because I've only included things that have an actual or approximate release date so far, and partly because I'm trying so very hard not to over commit myself this year. We'll see how that goes... Coming up this month:
Other things I'm hoping for this year:
And that's it. That's all I'm saying about this year. Let the words fall where they may! Happy Solstice, everyone! May your hearth be warm and your household merry! This week I'm reading from No Fae Is An Island: Endangerd Fae 4, which releases on January 15 (sorry, I get the date wrong in the recording) and is up for pre-order now. :) This one wraps up the series! No Fae Is An Island
Endangered Fae 4 releasing January 15, 2019 Pride Publishing Amazon Barnes and Noble Kobo iBooks Three years ago, Danu banished Diego from the human world for a time. Three years and three days doesn’t seem that long to be away from home but time among the wild fae can change a man and the human world returns the favor by changing while he’s gone. There’s a vampire on Tearmann Island’s security force. A curious selkie’s followed him home. So much to do to keep the world safe…but Diego’s no longer sure he has the right to interfere. Theo Aguilar started his vampire life on the wrong side of the law. He’s killed and knows he’s dangerous if he doesn’t stay in control every moment. But the fae took him in and Prince Lugh has given him a position of trust. So when Diego and Finn are arrested on a diplomatic mission far from home, he knows his duty. He’s striking out on his own to rescue them, a lone vigilante once again, this time for the good guys. The only glitch? The selkie, Limpet, can’t seem to understand the alone part. Yep. I'm reading from one of my own today. Sometimes I get to do that. ;) Semper Fae is book 3 in the Endangered Fae series and while I suppose you could read it first... No. Don't do that. This series really needs to be read in order. A scene for you from the beginning of Chapter Two - you may yell at me afterwards. Looking for the rest of the series? Book 1, Finn and Book 2, Diego, are available at Pride Publishing and all the usual retailers. :) Thank goodness for scheduled posts since I'm at GRL when this goes live :D Semper Fae: Endangered Fae 3 goes LIVE this Tuesday, October 23! (As one reader said, "Finally!" LOL) In Semper Fae, we follow Zack Morrison in his adventures as the new assistant/bodyguard to a prince of the fae. Magical diseases, meddling kids, and hints of a menacing and powerful mage bent on destruction. If you haven't started at the beginning, I can only urge you to do so. Reading Endangered Fae out of order is terribly confusing. Semper Fae Endangered Fae 3 Pride Publishing Kobo Barnes and Noble Amazon Zack thought he had a strange job before. Working as a Marine medic in a secret government installation was odd, but working as a human liaison to the fae and as the personal assistant to a sidhe prince is downright bizarre. Throw in the fact that he's pretty damn sure he's fallen in love with his boss, and things are close to unmanageable. Of course, around the fae, one never says 'things can't possibly get any worse'. Unexplained events plague the human world. Strange sightings, spontaneous magical explosions, and odd bends in reality crop up. When Finn falls ill and a monstrous creature attacks Zack, things quickly slide into disaster. Lycanthropy, loose-cannon mages, and Lugh conspire to make a hellish mess of things—but the real peril begins when Diego loses an important piece of his mind. Endangered Fae 1 & 2 in case you need those first! :D
Some weeks have a pile up of things to report. Naturally, these happen during weeks when I have to travel. I'll be at the Dreamspinner Workshop from Thursday afternoon to Monday evening recharging my author batteries and learning cool stuff. News on several fronts in the meantime: First round of edits are back with the publisher. We have a lovely new cover and the coming soon link up at Pride! Pre-order begins October 9, with a release date of October 30. Hooray! Up for pre-order now and releasing October 23 - we have more pre-order links coming in now! The rest should be following shortly. Barnes and Noble Kobo
This will be a new one, eventually, I hope. Manuscript finished and submitted - if this first publisher doesn't want it, we'll go from there. Mage is a M/M paranormal about a young man whose hereditary magic is killing him and the grumpy hermit mage he sees as his last hope. There's another possible paranormal series out there as well, but that's only in proposal form and I'm not quite ready to talk about it yet. Off to Orlando! :) I know it seems like there's not much going on from the outside right now - but back here in the workshop, I'm doing my best not to drown.
Some things happening now that might be of interest:

Endangered Fae 2 Kobo Barnes and Noble iBooks Amazon Paperback After defeating an evil wendigo, a man and his pooka lover deserve a little quiet. Unfortunately, Diego and Finn’s hard-won peace is disturbed when Diego, in jealous anguish, unwittingly rips a hole in the impenetrable Veil to the Otherworld. Separated, stuck on the other side of the Veil where Finn has to face old conflicts and Diego is the only human in a land of fae, the two of them navigate rocky waters between huge egos and ancient feuds. Worse still, some of the fae are dying of a mysterious illness and everyone believes Diego is the key to a cure. Things can’t possibly get any worse, can they? Oh, yes—they can when the US government gets involved. Which is less disturbing than Diego, Paper, Scissors, I suppose... Thing the first - Diego: Endangered Fae 2 is up for pre-order at Pride!
