We kept it kind of secret-ish, but with the lovely refresh on the ESTO Universe covers, MCB decided to do an audio for *drumroll**** Prisoner 374215 Ken Teutsch/Bill Hare did a wonderful job on the voice work and we're now just waiting on approval at ACX. I'll certainly let you know when it's up! Hooray!  It has begun! The amazing Vance Bastian is back in the studio with the Brimstone crew, currently working on The Hunt for Red Fluffy! I can't wait for you all to hear!  It's here! Release the frogs! I mean... Shax! Come back! I was kidding! *ahem* Anyway. We'll track our intrepid captain down later. Right now it's time for the Beside A Black Tarn audio release, narrated and voiced by the amazing Vance Bastian! In which Vance voices all the characters you've heard before, plus one rather astonishing one. I don't know how he did it... It's Brimstone. It's an homage to Edgar Allan Poe. It's a disaster of...well, you'll have to have a listen. So - nearly there, depending on how strenuous rewrites will be. :D I'm so sorry, to anyone who heard me read at Bishounen Con last year (or at the bookstore the night before) that it's taken so long. Things got...thingy. That and Offbeat Crimes took over my life for a bit. Anyway - this will go into an omnibus like the first Brandywine set to include Books, Bulls and Bacchanals and the short story "Midwinter Dancing" with this one. Onward!  Azeban is pleased. Also - look for the audio edition for Potato Surprise: A Brimstone Prequel, hopefully this week. It's in that "processing" stage at ACX - soon. Vance Bastian has lent his considerable talents to the Brimstone crew and universe once again and I'm so excited for everyone to hear! I'm determined to get to the end of Pack Up The Moon - Brandywine Investigations 5. It's looking very likely at this point. Oh, hi! It's Thursday again. *twitches* How do the weeks keep slipping away like that? All sorts of exciting fun things to tell you this week. Thing 1: Safety Protocols For Human Holidays is up for pre-order! Part of MIschief Corner Books "A Holiday To Remember" collection this year (and there are ten other fabulous stories), mine is a F/F science fiction humor piece, because of course it is. :D Amazon Kobo iBooks  Thing 2: All The World's An Undead Stage goes up for pre-order on November 21! Book 6 in the Offbeat Crimes series, the last one in this story arc, Ras and Carrington are back to face more bad things and many of the questions you've been asking get answers. Pride Publishing  Thing 3: AUDIO! 2 specifically, coming to your ears very soon. Uncommonly Tidy Poltergeists, narrated by Michael Pauley, is complete and just waiting for the gods of ACX/Audible to get the links up. Fingers crossed that it's sooner rather than later. Potato Surprise, A Brimstone Prequel, narrated by the man of a thousand voices, Vance Bastian, recording is complete. Probably will be early December when we can get editing done and get it through ACX.
Finally, I'm NaNo-ing this year. Don't know what possessed me. (Yes, I do. But we won't talk about that.) The thinking is that if I have word count to live up to, I might finish the next Brandywine story. Fingers crossed there, too.

Narrated by Vance Bastian Coming soon to Audio!  The big news this week, if you haven't seen me jumping up and down and shrieking about it yet, is the release of Vassily the Beautiful on audio. (!!) Greg Boudreaux lends his voice talents to the characters and narration and it is everything you could ever want in Vassily. It is all the things. Cheese and crows. It's worth a listen just for Sumerki alone. It's up at Audible, Amazon and iTunes.  Also, Vance Bastian is doing edits on the final couple of chapters for Shax's War: Brimnstone 3. The boys are back, and you all will get to hear Vance's interpretation of the new characters. (Leopold is so cute, and Mac is...I'm not giving it away. You'll have to wait. :D )
So we should have Shax's War before the month is out of the Audible gods are kind! So excited this week! Too many exclamation points! Greg Tremblay is hard at work as I type on the audio version of Vassily the Beautiful. (OMG!) Exact release dates are a little wibbly-wobbly, but soooon! As in late this month, early next.
