Hi all! A little spooky excerpt today, not from one of my own works but by the writer and historian Washington Irving. If you've never read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in its original, I highly recommend it. Sort of the height of dramatic irony and still it's creepy and a lot of fun.
My reading today is from my copy of Rip Van Winkle And Other Stories, Nelson Doubleday 1955, but this one online has some lovely older illustrations:
