Hello everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! You'd think this would be a romance author's favorite day, right? Eh. I've always been a little ambivalent about it. This probably explains why I only have one Valentine's Day story and that one was written as a challenge. (Angel, we're all SO surprised!)
Hey, no need for sarcasm. It was a fun challenge, though, with certain elements required as part of the story such as: an office party setting, an MC who hates Valentine's Day, an argument about Bert and Ernie's relationship, and an incompetent cupid.
It's a short story at about 8K, but it's also only .99 ;)
Enjoy the day if you have fun plans and enjoy your Thursday if you're not into the whole thing. Either way, Michael's virulent hatred of the day was fun to write.

Michael Sarver hates Valentine's Day. Between the flowers, the tacky decorations and his sleazy boss, he's certain he's about to experience the worst costumed office party in history.
But Cupid's minions and a certain Hawaiian god have other ideas. Let the mayhem begin.
Angel writes (mostly) Science Fiction and Fantasy centered around queer heroes. Currently living part time in the hectic sprawl of northern Delaware and full time inside her head, she has one husband, one son, two cats, a love of all things beautiful and a terrible addiction to the consumption of both knowledge and chocolate.
